Our Approach

Slower. Closer. Better.

Chat Play Snack is not a clinic. There are no waiting rooms, no back-to-back appointments, no rushing through sessions to get to the next family.

Just Isabelle, your child, and the space to do things properly.

Every session is play-based and child-led — because that’s where real progress happens. And because you know your child best, you’re always an essential part of the work.

We bring the therapy to your family’s world. Not the other way around.

What We Do

Three ways we support your family

untitled design

Speech Pathology

Direct, play-based therapy for children working on speech sounds, language development, social communication, school readiness, and more. Sessions happen in your home, at school, or in the community — wherever your child feels most comfortable.

1

Support Work

In-home daily living support for children and young people — including appointments, activities, personal care, and community participation. Consistent, familiar, and always child-centred.

2

Therapy Assistance (AHA)

A combination of support work and speech-related activities — including AAC device use, sensory activities, and communication skill-building. Delivered in your home or community between speech pathology sessions.

How It Works

Simple from the start

Step 01: Enquire Fill in our quick form — we’ll be in touch within 1 business day to chat about your child and answer any questions. No referral needed to get started.

Step 02: Play-based assessment Isabelle comes to your home, school, or community for a relaxed, play-based initial assessment. She’ll get to know your child — their strengths, communication style, and goals. You’ll leave knowing exactly what comes next.

Step 03: Ongoing sessions, made for your child Regular sessions built around your child’s individual goals, at a pace that works for your family. Always in your environment, always play-based, always family-centred.

About Us

I started Chat Play Snack because

I believe children do their very best learning in the places where they feel most comfortable — at home, at school, and in their community. After six years working in hospitals and busy private clinics, I stepped away to do things differently. To really know the families I work with. To spend proper time preparing for every session. To create the bespoke communication tools — AAC boards, visual supports, activity guides — that my clients actually need. At Chat Play Snack, you'll never feel rushed. And your child will never feel like a number.

PARENT FAQ

What families often ask us

Q: Do I need a referral to get started? A: No. You can contact us directly — no GP referral needed. If you have a Medicare Management Plan or NDIS plan, bring it along, but you don’t need one to enquire.

Q: How do in-home sessions actually work? A: Isabelle comes to your home (or school, or community space) and works with your child in a place they already know. A quiet-ish corner is helpful, but she’s very experienced at working in busy family environments — no stress.

Q: Do you work with NDIS participants? A: Yes. We work with self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants. Our fees align with NDIS pricing guidelines — so there’s no gap payment if you’re funded.

Q: What if my child won’t sit still or has a hard day? A: Completely normal — and Isabelle is experienced at working with children who are reluctant, dysregulated, or just having a tough one. Sessions are always child-led. If something isn’t working, she adapts without any judgement.

Q: How do I know if my child needs support? A: If something feels off — trust that instinct. There’s no question too small, and there’s no such thing as reaching out too early.
